Summary
The Instructional Designer role directly supports the Sales Training Department through design & development of Instructional material for the field force. This position will demonstrate and utilize effective needs analysis, project management, course development, and evaluation skills. In addition, this role will independently develop entry and advanced level courses for internal audiences and act as a liaison between multiple departments in determining needs of courses and appropriate methods of delivery. This position will work cooperatively between Clinical, Marketing, and Sales Training and their respective management teams utilizing Instructional Design methodologies to create best in class solutions for the varying customers training needs. Program timelines will be managed by this position in a dynamic rapid paced environment.
Essential Job Functions
1. Performs instructional design and development of both blended and self-paced interactive programs.
2. Understands interactive programs for computer-based training, CD ROM, web applications, and/or alternative multimedia formats.
3. Work with managers and employees to determine training and development needs and identifying activities and strategies to meet those needs, works with team to develop and upgrade classes as needed to meet customer needs.
4. Uses technical writing skills to develop curricula and instructional materials including agendas, exercises, and other materials in both a mobile learning and blended learning format.
5. Assists with the development of process improvements based on best in class training principles
6. Develops high quality curriculum and course development for multiple business units.
7. Utilize appropriate tools and software to transfer knowledge into mobile learning methodology.

Job Requirements
Education/Experience Requirements
1. Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Adult Education, communications or equivalent experience in related areas. Demonstrated expertise in media development is required.
2. At least 3-5 years experience in Instructional Design.
3. Experience with designing curriculum in a regulated industry or in a medical industry is preferred but not required.
4. Instructional Design methodologies used in technical course and curriculum development experience required.
5. Extensive knowledge of multi-media interactive authoring software. Experience with Captivate, Creative Suite, Storyline and Flash or related software highly desired.
6. Strong knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS). SkillPort experience is a plus.
7. Must have excellent educational performance measuring skills.
8. Must have demonstrated proficiency in curriculum and course design and development.
9. Must have strong ability to work with peers and management of all levels.
10. Must demonstrate an ability to develop, organize, and produce assigned projects within time-lines and established budgets.
11. Demonstrated effective organizational and communication skills.
Nature of Problem Solving
Skills assessments, training curricula, documentation control, departmental procedures and work instructions needed for the development of effective training programs.
Has authority to make and implement decisions within the area of assigned responsibility. Has responsibility to make recommendations for expenditures from multiple budgets within the area of assigned responsibility. These decisions will include curriculum, documentation control, vendor selection, computer hardware and software requirements etc.
Dimensions
The function of this position is to be the primary source for the development of curriculum design programs. This position will act within the area of assigned responsibility, which will enable clinical, Marketing, and sales training to produce quicker and more effective trainings across business units.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
