Designs Electrical products and systems according to parameters required by customers. Often will work with customers and their requirements to develop the parameters and performance requirements
various types of electro-mechanical systems.
Responsibilities:
Confirms system and product capabilities by designing feasibility and testing methods to ensure that customer needs are met. Will do a lot of circuit board design Develops electrical products that electronic in nature by studying customer requirements; researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials; soliciting observations from operators. Assures system and product quality by testing finished product and system capabilities; confirming fabrication, assembly, and installation processes. Prepares product reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing information and trends. Provides engineering information by answering questions and requests. Maintains product and company reputation by complying with government regulations. Maintains system and product data base by writing computer programs and entering data. Completes projects by training and guiding technicians who train customer in the use of their new equipment. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies. Works with customers and sales engineers to handle technical aspects of sales.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
