Alliance Technical is currently assisting a manufacturing client in Mentor, OH who is seeking a Purchasing Specialist/Buyer. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced machining environment.
Some additional duties may include:
A minimum of 5 years purchasing experience or a combination of education and experience. Hands-on purchasing experience in a manufacturing facility required with preference for someone out of precision machining. Purchasing/Buying experience of Raw Material, Tooling and MRO supply acquisition; vendor selection and performance evaluation as to cost, quality and delivery. Successful history with cost savings initiatives. Manage material supply chain from purchase to work center. Proficient in Microsoft programs, ERP systems, and Internet research Self-directed, flexible, able to manage multiple priorities.
