POSITION DESCRIPTION - 1st Shift
DISCIPLINE: Shop Material Handler
AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY: Factory Support focusing on material handling
REPORTS TO: Factory Support Manager
POSITION PURPOSE/MISSION:
Support shop floor focusing on but not limited to: Raw material movement and staging, scrap removal, all other aspects of material handling.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and
Responsibilities:
Safely operate a forklift and other material handling equipment.
Follow instructions.
Provide support to production and shipping functions.
Complete required paperwork that tracks data.
Willing to work overtime and weekends.
Ability to lift a minimum of 75 lbs.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED:
None
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal ? Take direction from factory support manager and department managers.
External ? None.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum Technical
Qualifications:
High School Diploma.
Forklift certification
Experience with material handling in a factory or warehouse environment.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
