Responsibilities:
- Respond to emergency calls and provide medical assistance to patients in need - Assess the condition of patients and provide appropriate medical treatment - Administer medications and perform procedures specific to protocol - Perform physical examinations and gather patient medical history - Triage patients based on the severity of their condition - Communicate with healthcare professionals, such as doctors and nurses, to provide updates on patient status - Operate and maintain emergency medical equipment, including defibrillators and oxygen tanks - Transport patients safely to medical facilities for further treatment
Experience:
- Previous experience working as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) preferred - Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology - Proficient in performing patient assessments and providing appropriate care - Familiarity with emergency room (ER) procedures and protocols - Ability to handle high-stress situations and make quick decisions - Experience with triage and prioritizing patient care - Knowledge of durable medical equipment (DME) used in emergency medical situations Requirements:
- Valid EMT certification/license in Ohio - CPR certification - Clean driving record with a valid driver's license - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work well in a team environment - Physical stamina to perform job duties, including lifting and carrying patients Note:
