Summary:
The Learning & Development (L&D) Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating training programs to enhance employee skills, knowledge, and performance.
They L&D Specialist will collaborate with department heads and subject matter experts to identify training needs, develop learning materials, and deliver training sessions to employees at all levels of the organization.
The L&D Specialist will work with the Talent Development Director and Business Unit Leaders to help drive performance in support of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and work to resolve any gaps in processes or training.
The L&D Specialist is expected to use a variety of learning mediums to deliver training content including instructor led (in-person and virtual sessions), pre-recorded videos, self-guided materials, and knowledge checks.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with department heads to identify training needs and develop effective learning solutions.
Facilitate process improvement initiatives and document policy/procedures for Enterprise and individual Business Units.
Design, develop, and deliver training programs that enhance employee skills and knowledge.
Create and maintain training materials, including online modules, instructor-led courses, and training manuals.
Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make recommendations for improvements.
Utilize a variety of training delivery methods, including e-learning, classroom instruction, and on-the-job training.
Measures employee comprehension of all learning programs through observation and knowledge checks.
Adjusts training materials based on feedback and results.
Maintain accurate training records and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Regularly report on status of learning programs and results to Business Unit Leaders and Talent Development Director.
Develop and maintain content in the online learning management system (LMS).
Stay current with industry trends and best practices in learning and development.
Assist with other HR functions, such as employee engagement, as needed.
Qualifications:
Required Skills:
Excellent interpersonal, communication skills, and presentation skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of individuals.
Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
Strong organization and presentation skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and learning management systems.
Ability to convey complex information in a way that people understand.
Ability to effectively organize and manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to demonstrate patience with learners and a passion to serve the internal customer.
Preferred Skills:
Internal or external candidate.

years of experience in designing and delivering learning programs.
1
year of team management experience.
Experience creating presentations and deliverables using Microsoft Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc.
).
Experience with process development, root cause analysis.
High credibility within the organization.
Education, experience, certifications:
High-school graduate Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Training, Learning & Development, or related field preferred.
Physical and mental demands:
Able to lift 50lbs.
Expected to make quick decisions, supervise workers, read or write, speak publicly, or interpret data.
Working Conditions:
Office environment.
Some travel required.
Regular business hours.
